Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fancy pile fabric, having excellent fiber unraveling properties and bulkiness, sufficient stiffness and voluminous feeling and a natural leathery touch by forming the pile surface of specific conjugated fibers as a long pile and arranging thermally shrunk solution-dyed fibers as a short pile in a pile base part.
SOLUTION: This pile fabric is obtained by forming the pile surface of conjugated fibers prepared by randomly compounding a solution-dyed component, which is fibers having 0.05-10 denier single fiber size and satisfying the formula 4<(L2/S)1/2<10 when the area of the fiber cross section is S μm2 and the length of the outer periphery is L μm with a component dyed by the post-processing as a long pile and arranging thermally shrunk and solution-dyed fibers as a short pile in a pile base part.
