Abstract:
To provide a method and a flat-knitting machine for knitting a pile knitted fabric without using special knitting needles for pile knitted fabric.CONSTITUTION: In a step A, when forming a course of one of front and rear knitted fabrics of a cylindrical knitted fabric, the course is formed by knitting needles except for a knitting needle located at a lateral end on a knitting starting side and stitches are formed by feeding a yarn to a knitting needle located at a lateral end on a knitting starting side of the other knitted fabric after a carriage is inverted on a knitting end side. In a step B, when forming a subsequent course of the other knitted fabric, the course is formed by knitting needles except for the knitting needle located at the lateral end on the knitting starting side and stitches are formed by feeding the yarn to the knitting needle located at the lateral end on the knitting starting side of one knitted fabric after the carriage is inverted on the knitting end side. The stitches are formed in a state where a ground yarn is engaged with a ground yarn hooking claw 13 of a pile knitting sinker 10 and a pile yarn is engaged with a pile yarn hooking claw 14 by repeating the step A and the step B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
