Title:
PILE RAW YARN FOR ELECTRIC TRANSPLANTATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07126919
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject raw yarn useful for obtaining electrically transplanted products comprising favorable ultrafine fibers, consisting of splittable fibers produced by conjugating a hot water-soluble polymer component and a hot water-insoluble polymer component dyeable at normal pressures in specific mode.

CONSTITUTION: The objective pile raw yarns consist of splittable fibers produced by confluently conjugating a hot water-soluble polymer component (e.g. 5-sodium sulfoisophthalate-copolymerized polyester) and a hot water-insoluble polymer component dyeable at normal pressure (e.g. a polyester modified so as to be dyeable with cationic dyes by copolymerizing e.g. a polyalkylene glycol). At least part of the hot water-soluble polymer component represents the surface of the fibers, and both hot water treatment and dyeing after electric transplantation can be conducted at <100°C without the need for using any organic solvent or strong alkali. The ultrafine piles of the resultant electrically transplanted products are excellent both in denseness and uniformity.
