Abstract:
To provide a printer capable of executing real-time processing using a general-purpose OS.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a first storage part and a second storage part which store printing-source data; a first interruption signal generation part which generates a first interruption signal successively at predetermined intervals; a second interruption signal generation part which generates a second interruption signal each time the first interruption signal is input a plurality of times; a print data fetching part which functions on a general-purpose operating system to fetch and store print data of a plurality of lines from the printing-source data stored in the first storage part in the second storage part each time the second interruption signal is input; a printing parameter fetching part which functions on the general-purpose operating system to fetch and store printing parameter data of the plurality of lines associated with print data of the plurality of lines respectively in the second storage part each time the second interruption signal is input; a read-out part which reads out print data of one line and parameters associated with the print data based in response to inputting the generated first interruption signal; and a printing control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
