PURPOSE: To provide a pipe joint enabling connecting work with high relaibility even by a person unskilled in the connecting work of a branch type pipe joint with numerous connecting places.

CONSTITUTION: A passage 12 and branch passages are formed at a joint body 10, and sockets 14 are provided every branch passage. Shafts 15 for supporting a holding plate 18 are provided at both ends of the joint body 10 and sprung in the separating direction of the joint body 10 by an elastic spring 19. A locking groove 15a is formed at the shaft 15, while an engaging member 21 to be locked to the lock groove 15a is provided at the joint body 10. When the holding plate 18 with plural plugs 16 placed thereon is brought close in the direction of an arrow mark, the engaging member 21 sprung by a spring 23a is locked into the lock groove 15a, and the sockets 14 of the joint body are positively connected to plural plugs 16 simultaneously.
