To provide a plasma display apparatus such as a plasma display TV, which can suppress a temperature rise of the rear face of a housing compared to a conventional technology by making heat generated by a plasma display panel less likely to be transferred to the rear face of the housing.
The plasma display TV includes: the plasma display panel 1 the front of which is a display screen; a heat dissipation member 3 disposed on the rear face of the plasma display panel 1 and dissipating heat generated by the plasma display panel 1, toward the inside of the face; and a heat insulation member 4 disposed on the rear face of the heat dissipating member 3 and restraining heat transferred to the heat dissipation member 3 from being transferred to the rear face of the housing. Thus, heat generated by the plasma display panel 1 is transferred to the heat dissipation member 3 and dissipated into atmosphere from the upper and lower parts of the housing 8. Moreover, since the heat insulation member 4 is provided, heat transferred to the heat dissipation member 3 is prevented from being transferred to a circuit board 6 and the rear face of the housing directly.
