At least one of a bus electrode, a bus main electrode and a black electrode in an address electrode and a display electrode formed on a substrate is formed with a material containing metal particles and high-resistance glass, an electric charge accumulated in a dielectric material is discharged through the high-resistance glass, and the charging of the electric charge is prevented from being generated in the glass constituent itself, whereby abnormal discharging is suppressed. Vanadic phosphate glass containing vanadium, phosphorus, ammonium and barium is preferably used for the high-resistance glass, and flake-like particles are desirably included in the metal particles.
