PURPOSE: To provide a plastic container with rib-like protrusions which are convenient and practical while being resistive against deterioration of mechanical property and being physically and visually free from bad influences arising from an internal pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A plastic container comprises a neck part on which a cap is put, a shoulder part, a trunk part and a bottom part. The shoulder part is equipped with a plurality of rib-like protrusions protruding outward at least at a part in its longitudinal direction, and the rib-like protrusions are formed in a structure wherein a first shape transition part 19, a middle part 20 and a second shape transition part 21 are provided successively at a cross section crossing the axis of the shoulder part. The first shape transition part 19 is curved toward the outside of the container at a radius of curvature R1 which is almost fixed, the middle part 20 is curved toward the inside of the container at a radius of curvature R2 which is almost fixed, and the second shape transition part 21 is curved toward the outside of the container at a radius of curvature R3 which is almost fixed. The radius of curvature R1 and the radius of curvature R3 are almost the same and larger than the radiud of curvature R2.
