To provide a blackening treatment method where suspended matter is hard to be generated in an electrolytic solution for blackening treatment, further, stripe unevenness and stain are hard to be generated in the obtained blackened layer, also, a change in a color balance with the lapse of time is reduced even under the preservation of the blackened layer in wet heat conditions, to provide an electrically conductive metal film using the treatment method, to provide its production method, further, to provide an electromagnetic wave shielding film for a plasma display in which a change in a color balance is reduced, adhesion is satisfactory as well, and a blackened layer is hard to be peeled, and to provide an electrically conductive metal film universally applicable to residences, factories or the like.
In the plating treatment method, a blackened layer is formed by electroplating using a plating liquid comprising: a nickel salt; a zinc salt; thiocyanate; and 1 to 5C aliphatic compounds having 1 to 3 carboxyl groups in which pKa of at least one of them is 3 to 6. The electrically conductive metal film, translucent electromagnetic shielding film and translucent electrically conductive shielding film are obtained by using the above plating treatment method.
