Title:
PNEUMATIC RADIAL TIRE FOR HEAVY LOAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3553659
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of separation at the end part of a belt without increasing the weight and cost and without reducing the fuel consumption, by setting the width of each of four belt layers, angle with respect to the tire equator plane, cord strength in breakage, etc., to each specific value.
CONSTITUTION: The first - fourth belts are arranged out the inside from the outside of four belt layers consisting of steel cords, and the width of the narrowest first belt is set to 48-60% of the tread width TW, and the width of the broadest third tread is set to 73-80% of TW. Further, the cord angle with respect to the tire equator plane is 15-20° in case of the first belt and 20-23 in case of the second - fourth belts, and the max. difference for the first belt is at least 3°, and the cord of the contiguous belt is reversely complicatedly arranged, having the tire equator plane interposed. Further, the cord strength in breakage is set at 150-280kgf/piece in case of the first belt consisting of double twist cords, while 280-500kgf/piece in case of the second - fourth belts consisting of the layer twist cord, and elongation is 5-7% in case of the first belt, and 2-3% in case of the second - fourth belts. Accordingly, the separation at the end part of the belt can be prevented without increasing weight and cost and without reducing the fuel consumption.
