Abstract:

To provide a pneumatic tire for an aircraft safer and capable of reducing damages to the aircraft by reducing the size of tread pieces scattered by a burst.

A reinforcing layer 22 arranged on the outside in the tire diametrical direction of a belt includes a plural number of cords set actually at an angle of not more than 15° against the tire circumferential direction and has joint parts 28 at not less than two points in the tire circumferential direction. Consequently, length in the circumferential direction of the cord constituting the reinforcing layer 22 becomes short, it becomes possible to reduce the size of the tread pieces formed at the time of failure of the tire (length) and to reduce the damages to the aircraft.
