Abstract:
To provide a method allowing a low-cost manufacture of an irregular shaped polarization plate, a polarization plate intermediate body to be used in the manufacturing method, and a polarization plate to be obtained through the manufacturing method.SOLUTION: In a polarization plate, an outline in a planar view is formed with a straight line part and an irregular shaped part. An edge face of the straight line part is a cutting work face. An edge face of the irregular shaped part is a non-cutting work face. A manufacturing method of the polarization plate includes: laminating a plurality of polarization plate intermediate bodies to form a work; and relatively moving the work and cutting means that has a rotational axis perpendicular to a circumference of the work and a cutting blade arranged protruding at the circumference side, while rotating the cutting means, to cut a cutting margin part of each polarization plate intermediate body in the work.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
