Abstract:
To provide a polishing device capable of preventing damage of sensors.
This device is provided with a polishing table 6, a servo motor 70 for rotating and driving the polishing table 6, pressing units 10 and 30 for pressing an optical fiber connector to the polishing table 6, a stepping motor 22 for driving the pressing units 10, 30, and a non-contact sensor 35 for detecting moving amount of the pressing units 10 and 30. The pressing is performed by driving the pressing units 10 and 30 based on the moving amount detected by the sensor 35.
