To provide a polishing sheet which prevents damage of a cutting-off blade due to abrasive grains, reduces the loss of the material such as abrasive grains, and has high manufacturing efficiency.
The circular shape polishing sheet is mounted on a polishing surface plate of a polishing machine via an elastic pad, and polishes an end face of a ferrule of a optical fiber connector by moving the polishing sheet together with the polishing surface plate, while the end face of the ferrule of the optical fiber connector is pushed against the surface of the polishing sheet. The polishing sheet comprises: a base material sheet 2 formed such that its outer peripheral edge has a circular shape; a polishing layer 3 formed on the base material sheet 2 so as to have an annular shape and to be concentric with the base material sheet; and an outer exposed region 2a of the base material sheet 2 formed radially outside the polishing layer 3.
