Title:
POLY(ARYLENE SULFIDE) RESIN COMPOSITION WITH IMPROVED DUCTILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3270782
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain poly(arylene sulfide) showing ductility in the melt state and good impact resistance in finished products in a certain embodiment.
CONSTITUTION: A poly(arylene sulfide) resin composition comprises (A) about 99.5-about 70 wt.%, based on the total weight of components (A) and (B), poly(arylene sulfide) having a melt viscosity of about 300-about 8,000 P at 1,200 sec-1 and 310°C; (B) about 0.5-about 30 wt.%, based on the total weight of components (A) and (B), emulsion cured silicone rubber of a condensation product of (i) an organopolysiloxane having at least two terminal active hydrogen functional groups per molecule and (ii) an organohydrogen-polysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule; and (C) about 0.1-about 2.0 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. components (A), (B) and (C) combined, organosilane selected from the group consisting of amino-, vinyl-, epoxy-and mercaptosilanes.
