Abstract:
To provide a polyester fiber for industrial material having improved modulus, dimensional stability and low friction properties and suitable for webbing, seat belt, fishing net, rope, etc.
The polyester fiber contains 0.1-15 pts.wt. of an inorganic component consisting of a sheet silicate based on 100 pts.wt. of a polyester and has a total fineness of 1.5-3,000 dtex. Preferably, the sheet silicate is ion-exchanged with an organic onium ion at an exchange ratio of 60-100%, the polyester is polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate, and the strength of the polyester fiber is ≥5 cN/dtex. The fiber is suitable for seat belt, air bag, rope, net, drier canvas, container bag, resin container sheet and tarpaulin.
