Abstract:
To provide a polyester yarn which has high elastic modulus and low shrinkage and further has excellent strength utilization factor when dipped, and to provide a dipped cord.
This polyester yarn in which ≥90 mol.% of the total repeating units of the molecular chain comprise polyethylene terephthalate and which has an intrinsic viscosity[IV] of ≥0.85 dl/g and simultaneously satisfies the following characteristics. (a) Strength ≥6.0 cN/dtex and strength × (breaking elongation)0.5≤26.0 cN/dtex.%0.5. (b) Single filament fineness ≤5.0 dtex. (c) The main dispersion peak temperature of loss tangent (tan δ) on the measurement of dynamic viscoelasticity at 110 Hz≤147.0°C.
