To provide a polymer bushing insulator for eliminating the use of a stress cone, and implementing the termination connection work of a power cable as simple as the intermediate connection work of the cable.
The polymer bushing insulator 10 is provided with a conductor drawing rod 12 having a cable conductor connection part 20 at a lower end, a solid insulator layer 14 provided on the outer circumference of the conductor drawing rod 12, and a polymer coating 16 applied on the outer circumference of the solid insulator layer 14 and having a plurality of caps 26 on an outer circumference. The cable conductor connection 20 part of the conductor drawing rod 12 downwardly protrudes from the lower end of the solid insulator layer 14, and comprises a compressive connection sleeve. The compressive connection sleeve 20 at the lower end of the conductor drawing rod and a conductor in a terminal of the power cable are compressively connected. A connection insulator is provided on the outer circumference. The structure of the termination connection part can be simplified, the number of components is reduced, and connection work is easily performed.
