Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a polymer flocculant exhibiting an especially remarkable effect in dehydration of org. sludge by hydrolyzing an N-vinylcarboxylic acid amide polymer.
CONSTITUTION: A polymer of monomers, essentially N-vinylcarboxylic acid amide and (meth)acrylonitrile is dispersed in oil and hydrolyzed with a mineral acid to obtain the objective polymer flocculant which is used without removing formed monocarboxylic acid.
