Title:
SEPARATION AND RECOVERY METHOD FOR HALIDE FIRE EXTINGUISHING CHEMICAL AGENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2779729
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a system having the capability of separating, recovering, storing and reusing a halide fire extinguishing agent without any need of decomposing and treating the agent.
CONSTITUTION: A coolant 2 stored in a cooling bath 1 is cooled down to or below the boiling point of halon with a refrigerator 3, and a mixed gas of halon and nitrogen is introduced to a cooling vessel 6 from a valve 5 via an introduction pipe 4. The Halon in the mixed gas introduced to the vessel 6, when cooled to -65°C for example, is condensed and liquefied. As a result, the Halon is accumulated in the vessel 6, and separated from nitrogen in a gaseous phase section. When the gaseous phase section is full of nitrogen, a valve 8 is opened and the Halon is recovered into a recovery tank 11 via a pump 9 and a valve 10.
