Abstract:

To provide a polymer electroluminescent material that gives a green light of high purity with a high light-emission efficiency, and to provide an organic EL element and a display device exhibiting excellent durability while simplifying the manufacturing step and realizing area enlargement.

The polymer electroluminescent material comprises a polymer containing a structural unit derived from an iridium complex represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1-R4are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, a 1-10C alkoxy group, a 1-22C linear, cyclic or branched alkyl group, or a halogen-substituted alkyl group obtained by replacing a part or all of the hydrogen atoms thereof with a halogen atom; Z1is an atomic group for completing a five-membered or six-membered carbon or heterocyclic ring; and L is a bidentate ligand of a monovalent anion bearing a polymerizable functional group).
