Title:
POLYMERIZABLE ORGANIC COMPOSITION AND ARTICLE PREPARED THEREFROM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3447729
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polymerizable compositions prepared from such compositions that produce castings which have low yellowness (b*) values and which do not pre-release from the molds in which they are formed, to provide polymerizates which are prepared from such compositions and may be used to prepare photochromic articles, such as lenses, by incorporating a photochromic substance, such as by thermal transfer, into the polymerizate.
SOLUTION: This organic resin composition comprises 30 to 90 wt.% of a polyol(allyl carbonate), such as diethylene glycol bis(allyl carbonate), and 10 to 70 wt.%, preferably 10 to 30 wt.%, of a mixture of aliphatic urethanes, the terminal portions of which contain allyl or acrylyl functional groups.
