To provide a portable article attaching device for a belt which has such a structure that the device itself is hardly broken and that the device is hardly detached from the belt.
The device is composed of a pair of locking members 3a and 3b. The locking member 3b is integrated with a portable article A, and a pair of engagement projections 5 and 5 facing each other are formed on the surface of the locking member 3a opposite to the locking member 3b to project toward the locking member 3b. A pair of locking holes 6 and 6 into which the engagement projections 5 and 5 are inserted are formed in the locking member 3b. Pawls 7 and 7 to be engaged with the rims of the locking holes 6 and 6 are formed on the opposite surfaces of the distal ends of the pair of engagement projections 5 and 5, respectively. The belt 2 is interposed between engagement projections 5 and 5 of one locking member 3a, and the pair of locking members 3a and 3b are locked to the belt 2 in such a way as to hold the belt 2 in-between by inserting the engagement projections 5 and 5 into the locking holes 6 and 6 and engaging the pawls 7 and 7 with the rims of the locking holes 6 and 6.
