Abstract:
To provide a switch module which is less likely to be damaged and a portable electronic device using the switch module.
A switch module according to the invention includes: a substrate; an activation component fixed to the substrate; an elastic arm; and a pressing button. One end of the elastic arm is fixed to the substrate, and the other end of the elastic arm engages with the pressing button. The activation component is positioned between both ends of the elastic arm. When the pressing button is pressed, the elastic arm curves toward the activation component to press the activation component. The activation component emits an activation signal to turn on or off a power source of the switch module.
