Abstract:
To provide a positive electrode active material for a lithium battery capable of making discharge capacity higher than that of the conventional lithium batteries by being used for a lithium battery and to provide the lithium battery containing the same.
The positive electrode active material for a lithium battery is represented by the formula (1) below, and the crystal structure thereof is a rock salt type. Li2 Ni1-x-yCoxMnyTiO4 composition formula (1) (In the composition formula (1) above, x and y are real numbers satisfying x>0, y>0, and x+y<1.)
