To provide a probe pin 10 which improves efficiency of packaging work while improving a functionality as an electrical contact, the probe pin 10 being used for electrically connecting conductive plates with each other.

The probe pin 10 comprises: a sleeve 20 formed from a metallic column and fixed to one conductive plate; a metallic contact pin 30 which freely appears/disappears from a distal end of the sleeve 20 to the other conductive plate B2; energizing means 3 for energizing the contact pin 30 towards the other conductive plate B2; and a cap member 40, formed from a conductive polymer material, which is mounted to a distal end of the contact pin 30 and adhered to a surface of the other conductive plate B2. In the cap member 40, a surface 42 adhered to the other conductive plate is formed as an adsorption surface to be used for packaging the probe pin 10 on a surface of the one conductive plate B1.
