Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of tile and effectively utilize resources by using a fused slag consisting of a sewage sludge in combination with tile raw materials such as agalmatolite, porcelain stone and feldspar.

CONSTITUTION: A pottery tile is obtained by using (A) 5-70wt.% fused slag prepared by adding CaO to a burned ash of a sewage sludge, (B) 20-90wt.% agalmatolite, (C) ≤50wt.% silica sand, (D) 5-50 wt.% clay and (E) ≤5wt.% alkaline components.
