Abstract:

To provide a method and a device which perform charge/discharge control of an electrified section in such a manner that the SOC includes a predetermined value required for running a non-electrified section for a train running a non-electrified section following to an electrified section.

A vehicle mounting a drive battery and operating across an electrified section and a non-electrified section includes a secondary drive battery 15 having a capacity of storing power required for operation of the non-electrified section, and an invertible chopper 6 for regulating the voltage conversion rate with the chopper conduction rate provided between a pantograph 12 for acquiring power from a stringing 11 and the drive battery 15, wherein the secondary drive battery is charged/discharged by performing control for holding the SOC of the secondary drive battery 15 within a predetermined range when the vehicle is running an electrified section thereby regulating the conduction rate.
