Abstract:
To provide a technology that improves power generation efficiency while downsizing a power generation device that generates power using the inverse magnetostriction effect of a magnetostrictive material.SOLUTION: A power generation device includes: a cylindrical exterior coating cylinder portion extending along a central axis direction; a power generation body which is a columnar power generation body arranged inside the exterior coating cylinder portion, and includes a columnar magnetostrictive cladding material made by joining two magnetostrictive materials having mutually different saturation magnetostrictions, a coil wound around the outer periphery of the magnetostrictive cladding material and connected to an external load and a magnet that magnetizes the magnetostrictive cladding material; a connection portion that connects a first end portion of the power generation body and the exterior coating cylinder portion and transmits vibrations generated in the exterior coating cylinder portion by fluid flowing outside the exterior coating cylinder portion to the magnetostrictive cladding material; and a fixing portion connected to a second end portion of the power generation body and supporting the exterior coating cylinder portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
