Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a preheating apparatus wherein installation reliability of a stock material holding gate of the preheating apparatus is improved, installation cost is also reduced, and melting power energy is reduced without deteriorating a working environment while improving preheating effect of the stock material due to waste gas.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft 5 is disposed in close vicinity with an arc furnace, the shaft having a stock material introduction part 10, a waste gas outlet 11 at the top thereof, and having a stock material holding gate 7 at the bottom thereof, a gap is provided between a lower end part of the shaft 5 and the holding gate 7, and an outer cylinder 6 coupled with a waste gas duct 4 of the arc furnace is provided on an outer periphery of the shaft. Further, an arc furnace body or the shaft 5 is horizontally movably provided.
