Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compd. with high purity and high yield which is useful as a starting compd. for the synthesis of a compd. having high activity to kill harmful organisms.
CONSTITUTION: This fluorine-substd. benzodioxole or benzodioxane expressed by formula I ((a) is 1, 2) is allowed to react with a simple halogen at -30 to 80°C in the presence of a halogenation catalyst and a proper solvent to obtain a compd. expressed by formula II (Hal is halogen). The compd. is nitrated by using a nitro acid at -20 to 80°C to obtain a compd. expressed by formula III. Then, the obtd. compd. is hydrogenated in the presence of a palladium catalyst and optionally a base at 30 to 140°C to obtain 4-amino-2,2- diluorobenz-(1,3)-dioxole and 5-amino-2,2,3,3-tetrafluorobenzo-(1,4)-dioxane expressed by formula IV.
