Abstract:

To provide an improved method for preparation of readily water-redispersible and water-wettable polymer powders by spray-drying of an aqueous dispersion of polymer.

The method for preparation of readily water-dispersible and water-wettable polymer powder comprises spray-drying of an aqueous dispersion of polymer particles with admixing of a hydrophilic and of a antiblocking agent, wherein the spray-drying of the aqueous dispersion of polymer particles is carried out in the presence of the hydrophobic antiblocking agent and then homogeneously mixing the obtained polymer particles with the hydrophilic antiblocking agent in the following step.
