Abstract:

PURPOSE: To preserve freshness, flavor and appearance of foods in a fresh state by coating the foods with a water absorbing sheet containing ceramic or zeolite easy to radiate specific far infrared rays, cooling and preserving the foods.

CONSTITUTION: Foods such as fresh fishes, animal meat, etc., are coated with a water absorbing sheet containing ceramic and/or zeolite easy to radiate far infrared rays at 6-14μ wavelength, cooled and preserved to maintain freshness, flavor and appearance of foods in a fresh state. The top of the water absorbing sheet is covered with a plastic film having low permeability to oxygen and the foods may be covered with the under surface of the sheet.
