PURPOSE: To provide a press apparatus with various effects such as being simplified in its structure, simple and easy in doing control work, and having a small decrease of pressing force by a parallel control and excellent responsive time and accuracy to the parallel control, and further achieving an acceleration of the pressing process given to the pressing apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: The movable frame 2 is moved downward by means of a hydraulic cylinder 3 for giving a pressing work to a material to be worked by the lower mold 25 and upper mold 26, wherein a plurality of ball nuts held by a ball nut holder 7 are disposed in the bed 1 and ball screws 5 disposed rotatably to the movable frame 2 and not movably to the central axis direction are permitted to respectively engage with each ball nut. A ball screw mechanism with each ball screw 5 rotated therein is formed by axially directional forces and each ball screw 5 is mutually connected by a tooth wheel device 15 for giving a synchronous rotational movement.
