Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce manufacturing cost and improve assembly work by restricting the movement of electric wires in terminal storage chambers with a cover made of a member.
CONSTITUTION: The housing 23 of a pressure contact connector 21 is partitioned into terminal storage chambers 33 storing pressure contact terminals 25 by bulkheads 31, and notch sections deeply notched from the upper end of an electric wire made in pressure contact are formed on both side plates of pressure contact sections facing each other in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the electric wire. Recesses 41 coinciding with the notch sections when the pressure contact terminal 25 is inserted into the terminal storage chamber 33 are formed on the bulkheads 31. A cover 27 opened on the side face as an insertion port 47 is provided fittably from the side direction of the housing 23, and rail-like projections 49a, 49b inserted into the notch sections and recesses 41 and arranged at the upper end of the electric wires made in pressure contact are protruded on the inner face of the cover 27.
