To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition having excellent balance between adhesion and removability, capable of giving excellent transparency, antistatic properties, etc., to an pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, without causing such a fear that constituents in the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer may be bled to a surface of the adhesive layer, and especially suitable for forming the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer in a pressure-sensitive adhesive product which is useful as a surface protective material, to provide a method for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and to provide the pressure-sensitive adhesive product having the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed out of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.
This pressure-sensitive adhesive composition contains (A) a pressure-sensitive adhesive resin [preferably, a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester-based resin] and (B) a sulfonated polymer (especially preferably, a sulfonated conjugated diene-based polymer). The method for producing the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition comprises polymerizing a monomer which gives the component (A) in the presence of the component (B). The pressure-sensitive adhesive product has the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed out of the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition.
