Title:
PRESSURE-TYPE FREEZE CONCENTRATOR PROVIDED WITH RESIDUAL ICE CRYSTAL REMOVING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02277504
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the energy to be consumed by connecting a pressure cylin der having a tapered hole and a cooling part to the lower part of a cooling cylinder and connecting a drain pipe to the tapered hole of the pressure cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: A mother liquor to be concentrated is supplied into the cooling cylinder 2 from a mother liquor container 1 and frozen by a cooling medium flowing in the jacket 14 of the cooling cylinder to form ice crystal. The ice crystal is combined with a tensile wire 8. The wire 8 is driven downward in the cylinder 2, and the ice crystal is also lowered. The ice crystal is passed through the cylinder along with the wire, introduced into the pressure cylinder 3 and compressed. Consequently, the freezing point of the ice crystal is lowered, and the ice crystal is melted. The melted liq. concentrate is recovered from the drain pipe 6 connected to the inlet of the tapered hole 4, and the ice crystal is discharged into a lower tank 7 from the tapered hole 4 as the residual ice crystal 26. The cost is reduced by this method.
