To obtain a pretreating agent for a resin-reinforced cement for dentistry, improved in adhesiveness to dentine, providing stable adhesive strength, simplifying pretreating operation on the surface of the dentine compared to conventional agents, and enabling a stable cement restoration hardly causing dropout, breakage or, the like.
This pretreating agent for the resin-reinforced cement for the dentistry is constituted of (a) 0.5-25wt.% polymerizable monomer having at least one phosphoric acid group, (b) 0.5-50wt.% polymerizable monomer having at least one carboxy group, (c) 1.0-50wt.% volatile organic solvent having ≤200°C boiling point under a normal pressure, and (d) 10-90wt.% water. Optionally, the agent contains (e) 0.01-10wt.% polymerization catalyst, and (f) 1.0-40wt.% polymerizable monomer having no acid group.
