To provide a print controller, a control method therefor and a program, allowing execution of printing by a printing method suitable for contents of print data without reducing performance.
A drawing area of a drawing area drawn by a drawing instruction inside the print data corresponding to one page is calculated. A coefficient showing weight using the drawing area as decision material for determining the printing method of the print data is set on the basis of the drawing instruction. A virtual drawing area wherein the set coefficient is multiplied by the drawing area is calculated. The printing method for the print data is determined on the basis of the virtual drawing area corresponding to the drawing instruction inside the print data, and a virtual reference area of the print data corresponding to one page. A print control command making a printer execute the determined printing method is generated. The print control command is outputted to the printer in advance of the print data.
