The device is provided with a print medium sheet tray permitting the configuration for housing a printing medium sheet on which an image indication is marked. When the print medium sheet tray permitting the configuration is set in a first operation mode, and if a selected state of the print medium property set is changed from the first state to the second state, and the print system is tried to be operated, a controlling device makes the operation of the print system unworkable. Moreover, when the print medium sheet tray is set in the second operation mode, and if the state of the print medium property set is changed from the first state to the second state, in accordance with the selected changing process, the controlling device permits the operation of the print system.
