Abstract:
To provide a printer using an ultraviolet LED unit in lieu of an ultraviolet lamp unit, while employing the structure of an ultraviolet lamp unit-type printer as it is, to a maximum possible extent.
The printer is constituted of a plurality of printing units 2, which performs a printing process using an ultraviolet curable ink, and are aligned in a direction in which matter to be printed is conveyed. In addition, the printer includes an adapter unit 4 fitted to a mounting part 11, an LED unit 3 which is fitted to the adapter unit 4 and includes an ultraviolet light emitting diode, and a position regulating means 70 which regulates a position of the LED unit 3 fitted to the adapter unit 4 to the printing surface of the matter to be printed.
