Abstract:
To provide a method for replacing an ultraviolet lamp unit with an LED with a material cost and a replacement work cost as low as possible, in an existing printer equipped with the ultraviolet lamp unit as an ultraviolet light source.
The ultraviolet light source replacement method for a printer includes: a process to remove the ultraviolet lamp unit from a mounting part 11; a process to select an adapter unit 4 which is suited for the mounting part in such a state that the ultraviolet lamp unit is removed and fit the adapter unit 4 to the mounting part 11, a process to fit the LED unit 3 to the adapter unit 4, and a process to regulate the position of the LED unit 3 fitted to the adapter unit 4 using a position regulating means.
