Abstract:
To provide a printer capable of easily inking on a plate cylinder having a varying diameter.
The plate cylinder 1 is automatically changed in its diameter or the cylinder 1 or a housing is replaced at a non-operating position where form rollers 3a, 3b and 3c of an inking unit 4 are not contacted with the cylinder 1. When the diameter of the cylinder 1 is changed, the form rollers 3a and 3c are, for example, moved in a direction (x) so that an effective radius of the unit is changed so as to meet a new diameter of the cylinder 1. When the unit 4 is moved to an operating position, the rollers 3a, 3b and 3c of the unit 4 are all contacted with the cylinder 1.
