Abstract:
To appropriately control a main scanning operation of an inkjet head with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes an inkjet head 12, a main scanning driving part 202, a linear encoder 20 generating a position signal, and a modulation signal generation part generating a modulation signal obtained by modulating the position signal, in which the position signal is a signal that can be distinguished with a resolution in the distance that is an integral multiple of 1 μm with respect to the position of the inkjet head 12 and is shorter than 127 μm, the modulation signal generation part generates a signal in a cycle corresponding to a distance of an integral multiple of 127 μm as a modulation signal, and the main scanning driving part 202 makes the inkjet head 12 discharge ink based on the modulation signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
