To provide a printer capable of preventing clogging of a nozzle of a printing head caused by paper powder even when paper width of a continuous form to be used is changed.
The printer 1 includes: the printing head 7 discharging ink droplets toward the continuous form 2 having feeding holes 2a formed at predetermined intervals at both ends in the paper width direction; cover members 21 covering the feeding holes 2a in an installation region P of the printing head 7 in the carrying direction of the continuous form 2; and a plurality of divided platens 8 arranged in the installation region P of the printing head 7 in the carrying direction and divided in the paper width direction. The cover member 21A is movable to the paper width direction. At least the platen 8 installed in the movable range of the cover member 21A is a movable platen 8A movable at least either one of the vertical direction or the paper width direction so as to enable movement of the cover member 21A to the paper width direction.
