To provide a simple structured sealing device which enables its construction to be simplified and also, its size to be reduced by leaving out a drive part.
The sealing device includes the following components: A guide part (2) on which an envelope 6 suspended in a straddling manner by a folding part between a bag part 6b and a flap part 6a of the envelope 6, is made to slide in one direction; a pair of pressing plates 3 and 4 which stretch beyond the terminal, in one direction, of the guide part 2 while gripping the guide part 2 by its both sides, and open wide, at the start end side so that the bag part 6b and the flap part 6a of the envelope 6 suspended straddling over the guide part 2 can be introduced, and further, that the bag part 6b and the flap part 6a, of the envelope 6, which are lapped over each other, are pressed by following the gradual narrowing of an interval between the parts 6b and 6a toward the terminal; and a water applying means 5 to apply water to a rewetting paste part 7 which is preapplied to the flap part 6a of the envelope 6, while the envelope 6 is made to slide over the guide part 2 in one direction.
