Abstract:
To quickly and surely recover residual ink in an ink recovery tube.SOLUTION: An ink recovery tube comprises: an inflow port which is arranged at a position close to one machine casing and into which ink flows from an ink storage part; and an outflow port which is arranged at a position close to the other machine casing and from which the ink flows to an ink container. First regulation means is arranged at a position on a downstream side with respect to the inflow port in the ink recovery direction and regulates a communication state of the ink recovery tube. A first connection part connects a high pressure air generation part to the ink recovery tube at a position on the downstream side with respect to the first regulation means in the ink recovery direction. First high pressure air control means stops the supply of the high pressure air to the ink recovery tube through the first connection part while ink is supplied to the ink storage part through an ink supply tube, and supplies the high pressure air to the ink recovery tube through the first connection part after starting ink recovery for recovering ink through the ink recovery tube from the ink storage part in which the supply of ink is terminated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
