Abstract:
To solve the problems that it takes time and efforts to predict time and a speed that are required in generating printing data in advance and further the prediction is not always correct, so that printing may not be executed properly if the printing is executed based on an incorrect prediction.SOLUTION: A printing control device comprises a memorizing part and a control part that when receiving an instruction to print an image, generates printing data that are used in printing from the image, stores in the memorizing part the printing data, and makes a printing part execute printing on a printing medium on the basis of the printing data stored in the memorizing part. The control part, when a predetermined time elapses after starting generation of the printing data, calculates a speed of generation of the printing data in accordance with quantities of the generated printing data; and selects, on the basis of the calculated speed of the generation and printing speed by the printing part, first printing processing in which generation of the printing data and printing by the printing part are executed together at least partially and second printing processing in which printing by the printing part is started after the generation of the printing data is completed, and then performs the selected processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
