To provide a printing device which can correctly figure out a used amount of a recording medium (label paper) for billing.

The printing device includes: a conveying part to move a recording medium fed from a paper roll along a conveying path; a thermal head to print by performing thermal transfer of an ink from an ink ribbon to a recording medium; a control part to discriminate a printing mode for the recording medium to control printing processing to the recording medium; and a conveyance amount calculation part to calculate a conveying amount in which the recording medium is conveyed from the paper roll toward a first direction heading to the thermal head when the printing mode is a predetermined mode.
