PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of printed piclture caused by the abrasion due to sliding with the resistant layer, by making the hardness of the material quality of an electrode base at the end part of recording head contacted with resistant layer thereof at least be not harder than the hardness of the material quality of recording needle.
CONSTITUTION: The ceramic base 101 having MgO and SiO2 as main components is evaporated with Ni-Cr 102 and Cu 103 and electrodes are formed thereon by photoetching. electroless plating of Ni-W-P 104 is selectively processed on those electrodes. While the hardness of the ceramic base having MgO and SiO2 as main components is 500W600 Hu, the hardness of Ni-W-P is about 700 Hu. When printing is carried out with the recording head the hardness of the recording needle of which is thus harder than the hardness of the base electrode, the abrasion of the electrode base is more rapid as compared with the abrasion of the recording needle. Therefore, the recording end surface of this recording head has the shape in which the recording needle is always projected from the electrode base end surface.
